SMITH & NEPHEW Traditional Hip Positioning System (Hip Arthroscopy)

The Smith & Nephew Hip Positioning System is a table-mounted distraction and positioning system for supine hip arthroscopy. It attaches to a standard OR table (no fracture table required), is C-arm compatible, and provides controlled leg distraction for central-compartment work plus a ball-joint with quick-disconnect for hip flexion, abduction/adduction and dynamic FAI assessment in the peripheral compartment. The ‘Traditional’ configuration uses a universal hip distractor with traction boot, well-leg holder, perineal post and padded table extension; later versions add Active Heel traction boots and a universal distractor bar.
