CEIA PD240CH Hand-Held MRI Ferromagnetic Detector

The CEIA PD240CH is a purpose-built hand-held screener for MRI safety programs. Unlike a security wand, it separately detects ferromagnetic and non-ferromagnetic metals, letting technologists locate implants, fragments and forgotten objects that pose projectile or RF-heating risks before a patient enters the magnet room. Three analysis modes (All Metals, Body – ferrous only, and Head – very small ferrous) plus dual-tone audio, vibration and a dual-color display give a fast, repeatable screen that complements ferromagnetic detection pillars and walk-through systems. It is recommended in ACR MRI safety guidance as a supplement to a written screening process.
